Great! Your account is fully set up, and your exchange(s) are successfully connected. Now, we can move on to setting up the rebalancing. Head over to the Rebalancing menu item to get started.
On this page, you'll configure all the settings related to rebalancing for each exchange. Below is an example with an explanation for the most basic setup. The advanced features will be covered later. Follow the step-by-step instructions using the arrows.
Arrow 1: Select the correct exchange for which you have linked the API and wish to set up rebalancing.
Arrow 2: Here you see 2 baskets. This means you can create two different baskets to rebalance coins together.
Baskets for Rebalancing: Coins that you want to rebalance together are grouped into what we call a "basket." Each basket represents a collection of assets that will be managed and rebalanced as a single unit. It’s important to carefully select the coins you include in a basket, as the automated rebalancing will apply to all assets within that group.
Arrow 3: In the checkbox, select which coins you want to include in your basket for rebalancing.
Arrow 3.1: Enter the percentage allocation for each coin. Make sure the total adds up to 100%, which you can see at the bottom.
Arrow 4: Specify the time interval for rebalancing.
Arrow 5: Once everything is set, click "Save" to store your rebalancing strategy.
Arrow 6: After saving, click the green "Start Rebalancing" button to begin the rebalancing process.
Arrow 7: If you want to completely remove the rebalancing setup, click "Delete Rebalancing."
Arrow 8: You can manually trigger rebalancing at any time using this button. Note that the interval will reset from this point onward.
Arrow 9: This button allows you to pause the rebalancing process. Rebalancing will resume when you press the button again.
Arrow 10: If you're done with this rebalancing setup, you can delete it using this button.
Arrow 11: In the bottom left corner, you can see the date of the last rebalancing and when the next one is scheduled.
Arrow 12: Additional functionalities: Each feature, such as offline balance, coin price drops, spread protection, etc., has its own detailed explanation available. Click on the text to view more information.
Not all extra functionalities are available with every subscription plan.
Rebalancing on some exchanges requires a minimum trade of 5 euros. If this minimum is not met, the rebalancing will not occur. This is more likely to be an issue with a portfolio of 100 euros than with a portfolio exceeding 500 euros.
That's it! You're all set to enable a basic rebalancing strategy. Follow the next guide to view your portfolio in the Portfolio menu. And be sure to check out the advanced guides to understand how all the extra functionalities work.
